Sales Consultant – Toronto

As a Sales Consultant at Shift, you will provide key contributions in the areas of Sales, Delivery, and Team Mentorship as outlined in greater detail below.

This position for employment will be based out of Shift’s Toronto office at 404/Steeles with general office hours from 9:00am-5:30pm, with some flexibility and travel required.

In this role you will focus on:

Sales Support/Business Development:

  • Provide pre-sales consulting during the sales cycle for key strategic opportunities, create demos and contribute to the development of proposals to increase efficiency and win rates for opportunities within a specific industry alignment
  • Work closely with the Shift Sales team and salesforce.com Account Executives to identify opportunities and growth within key accounts
  • Develop estimates based on recommended optimum solutions, ensuring appropriate support for the proposed architecture and work with the consulting team to finalize and receive approval on any estimates prior to presenting to prospective client
  • Assist the sales team in securing and renewing engagements from our existing customer base
  • Support the sales team in qualifying and positioning new potential customers
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining services and potential solutions to customers and prospective customers
  • Confer with customers and salespeople to assess business and technical needs
  • Proactively scope the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs
  • Develop estimates based on recommended optimum solutions, ensuring appropriate support for the proposed architecture and work with the consulting team to finalize and receive approval on any estimates prior to presenting to prospective client

Solution Development / Knowledge Sharing:

  • Help to research and develop new solutions for our customers
  • Provide guidance and knowledge to Shift’s sales team on platform best practices and delivery methodology
  • Identify key areas within a particular industry or on the Salesforce platform to provide

In order to qualify you must have the following essential skills and experiences:

  • Professional and confident team player with a focus on customer service
  • Strong project management, problem solving skills
  • Responsible for identifying customer process pain points and gaps in best practices
  • Comfortable managing client expectations and relationship
  • Strong experience with the Salesforce platform in administration/configuration and solution architecture
  • Contribute to proposals, Statements of Work and develop a roadmap and estimates that address the customer’s technical and business requirements, considering budgetary constraints
  • Confident being client facing, able to manage both Business and Technical senior stakeholders and gather complex requirements
  • Excellent presentation skills to various levels of Management
  • Familiarity and experience liaising with technical teams
  • Must have a solid understanding of the various Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Community)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Results-oriented with a solid business acumen and a strong implementation background
  • Salesforce consultancy expertise
  • Certification in Salesforce Admin, App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant
  • Proven track record as a Consultant to sales teams
  • Experience using and implementing both salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
  • 5-7+ year’s experience with Salesforce or other CRM solutions
